Elections Canada's communications group wished to expand coverage of this event beyond the major news media represented by the Press Theatre members to local newspapers, radio stations and other concerned parties.
Features to Note: The press conference was webcast live and an archived copy was published within minutes of the event as a recorded reference for the media.
The Communicators Conference was held in Ottawa and many Communicators employed outside the National Capital Region were unable to attend. The webcast enabled all federal Communications communities across Canada to participate.

Managing the financial records of a federal election campaign has many statutory requirements. Elections Canada produced four instructional video DVD's for distribution to all campaign management. This product packaged the four videos [content] into a web accessible version.

The target audience for this product is the retail sector. For the benefit of employees handling cash, this training module and quick reference guide demonstrates the numerous security features of Canadian currency.

Many employees at Health Canada service the Aboriginal community. The Department organized a series of classroom presentations by members of the community to increase awareness of their culture and the realities of their day-to-day challenges. The product captured and published these live presentations for on-demand viewing for the benefit of all staff.

Features to Note: The speaker’s audio recording is synchronized with the presentation slides including the presenter’s videos. All content is indexed by slide and is searchable. The speaker's biography is available with attachments such as handouts and PDF versions of the slide images. A 'share' option enables a user to send URL to a colleague that will launch the presentation at the current slide.
As part of a recruitment initiative, CFIA published a series of videos focusing on the daily lives of eight CFIA staff members from across Canada. This project consisted of scripting, shooting, editing and hosting the videos.

This video was originally created for distribution via YouTube. The mobile versions were produced for viewing on Blackberrys, iPhones and Windows Mobile devices.

This is an example of an illustrated audio product for mobile devices. A slide presentation is synchronized with the speakers audio and the resulting video can be downloaded to mobile devices for viewing at an opportune time.

Brock Vernon is a fictious Member of Parliament for the riding of Linden Way. We created this sample website to illustrate a content management strategy that could group videos in a hierarcial structure reflecting a franchised enterprise. Even though the web site is personal to Brock Vernon with videos pertaining to him and events and issues within his riding, there is a level of video publishing that can be managed by the national office.
